Val Garfield is the President of Metro Elevator Utah where his business philosophy is simple yet profound: answer the phone, return phone calls, take care of customers, and provide support to all employees.
Val strongly believes in treating everyone with respect and kindness. As a leader, he works closely with his team to foster an understanding of goals and values, which leads to greater success. Val's warm demeanor helps clients and employees feel comfortable, allowing him to build deep relationships based on friendship and trust. With over 26 years of industry experience, he takes pride in connecting well with customers and exceeding their expectations.
Val holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from CSU Fullerton and completed a management development program at Penn State University. After college, he was recruited into the elevator industry by a family friend and has been dedicated to it ever since. His passion for his work is reflected in numerous awards, including Branch of the Year, District of the Year, Best Customer Satisfaction, Major Project of the Year, #1 Office in Portfolio Growth, and multiple top sales awards.
Outside of work, Val enjoys spending time with his family, which includes five children and ten grandchildren. He loves traveling the world to be with them and enjoys outdoor activities like scuba diving, mountain biking, and riding motorcycles. Val bases many of his values on the service of others, which provides him with a deep sense of love and understanding. This helps him lead by example and maintain a positive attitude, creating a ripple effect of positivity and kindness in his family, at work, and throughout his life.
